Hello again.

I’m originally from Mirigama, Sri Lanka, and now live in Auckland, New Zealand, with my wife and our two children. We moved to New Zealand in late 2022.

I attended Dudley Senanayake Model Junior School in Mirigama before moving on to Bandaranayake Central College in Veyangoda. I graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing and later obtained an MSc in Advanced Software Engineering from the University of Westminster.

Right after university, I joined Leapset in 2014. The company later became Sysco LABS. I progressed from Software Engineer to Associate Software Architect, working on restaurant software and enterprise platforms while leading and mentoring engineering teams. In January 2023, I joined Orion Health in Auckland, where I work as a Senior Software Engineer building healthcare software.

I enjoy understanding how systems work and solving difficult technical problems. I also like helping other engineers develop their skills. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and gardening.

You can read more about my work and experience, find me on LinkedIn, or get in touch.

This is where I keep notes on the things I learn, the things I build, and the experiences I want to remember.

I started this diary in 2010. Over the years it has become a mix of technical walkthroughs, small experiments, and stories from life, written in both English and සිංහල.

Some entries solve a very specific problem. Others are simply a moment worth keeping. You're welcome to explore either way.
